Caldwell Snyder Gallery is opening a new location in Montecito, California and seeks a professional and experienced full time art consultant.
Preferred applicants should have a a knowledge, passion and experience in the art world and with strong sales, curatorial, marketing and administration skills. The gallery offers a unique career opportunity in an exciting market with six figure income potential.
Founded by Oliver Caldwell & Susan Snyder in San Francisco in 1983, the gallery represents 50+ contemporary artists from the U.S., Europe, and Latin America and is a long standing member of the San Francisco Art Dealers Association. The gallery has facilitated over 500 exhibitions in its San Francisco and St. Helena galleries, including numerous international art fairs in Cologne, Miami, Toyko, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Los Angeles.
In addition to curating exhibitions, gallery staff works closely with private collectors in building their collections, providing art advisory services, and assisting individuals in home or corporate installations. Knowledge of photo shop, database client management and basic computer skills is essential.
Going into its fourth decade, the Caldwell Snyder will continue its dynamic program, remaining agile in response to new art and ways of communicating with the public, while maintaining the strong identity and aesthetic base that has marked its success for almost forty years.
