Great company in Carpinteria is in need of hiring a QA Manager. Purpose of Position:
This position will oversee the management of the Quality Assurance department and staff, and will develop, implement and monitor company policies and procedures related to product Safety, and Quality Assurance programs.Responsibilities:Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, training, delegation of duties, to include disciplinary actions and annual reviews for the Quality Assurance Department.Oversee and coordinate quality inspections and be able to identify problems or potential problems to ensure conformance.Document management activities, changes in materials and catalog informationOversee the completion of non-conformance documentation in electronic systemOversee the distribute non-conformance documentation and reports, and follow-up through satisfactory disposition REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)4+ Managing experience in agriculture or manufacturing in quality control2-4 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing or agriculture environmentComputer skills including MS Word and ExcelKnowledge of basic manufacturing or agriculture operations and proceduresAbility to manage employees, implement policies and procedures, keep employees accountable, make hiring decisions, make firing decisions, implement disciplinary action and reward good performance. Agriculture experience is a plus+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus+ Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, schematics or work plansAbility to perform shop math with speed and accuracyAbility to handle multiple tasks at the same timeGood oral and written English communication skillsThe work schedule is Monday- Friday 10 hours a day, and Saturdays 1/2 day (5 hours) Salary offered depends on Experience, but will be $55,000-$75,000 annually Benefits offered are;Medical Insurance (company pays 70% of all medical)Life Insurance (company pays 100% of Life Insurance)
