The Role

Entegris is seeking a hands-on, innovative Quality Engineerto provide quality support for products with our Particle Sizing Systems business. The Particle Sizing Systems products provide liquid particle counting and sizing solutions for semi-conductor manufacturing and other industries. This includes the Accusizer and NiComp product lines.

The Quality Engineer must be self-directed with the ability to work collaboratively to complete projects and assignments and solve technical issues. This role is based in the Goleta, CA facility and reports to PSS Quality Director.

In this role you will

Generates, analyzes, and reports on the levels and trends of incoming, production and customer quality for Particle Sizing Systems products. Drive improvement actions based on analysis and findings.

Leads material disposition decisions to support ongoing production.

Leads product, process and customer issue resolution during all phases of the product life cycle using tools such as 8D, Six Sigma DMAIC and Statistical Process Control to ensure effective corrective and preventive action and closure within timing goals.

Supports and maintains a failure analysis process that may include both mechanical and electrical components. Ensures feedback, corrective action communication, and implementation are consistent with customer expectations.

Authors and/or reviews Standard Operating Processes, work instructions, test specifications, and other documents for accuracy. Leads implementation of Entegris Quality System at PSS.

Leads validation and qualification for product, process and supplier change management activity.

Participates in continuous improvement (Lean and Six Sigma projects) within assigned manufacturing areas and quality processes.

Supports customer and supplier audits as a subject matter expert, as needed.

Represents Quality as a team member for New Product Development (development of FMEA, inspection and control plans, data collection and analysis, etc.) to ensure products released to manufacturing meet quality performance goals.

Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally to support product and customer needs

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical) or related technical field with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing environment

Experience with products having both electrical and mechanical properties. Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical issues.

Experience with applicable quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, DOE and analysis tools such as: histograms, pareto, process mapping, cause and effect diagrams, 8D problem solving & Six Sigma methodology;

Quality Engineer certification (CQE), Six Sigma Green or Brown Belt or similar quality certification;

Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
