What does an Afterschool Childcare Aide do?
Provides quality care and supervision to after school elementary school-aged children
Maintains a positive, nurturing attitude with the children that encompasses our commitment statement.
Is responsible for assisting the Group Leader and in general supervision as well as program development & implementation.
Be a sensitive and mature individual able to relate and communicate well with adults, children, staff and supervisors.
Have a willingness to assist in the supervision of children enrolled in the program to provide for and insure the health and safety of the children in the program while also being able to enforce & model facility safety policies & procedures.
What we look for in a Childcare Aide
CPR (Adult and Pediatric), AED and First Aid certified
Must have 3 units of ECE or other qualifying credits
Understanding of child development and lesson plans recommended
Must have one year experience working with children ages 5-12 years old
