Hiring now for over many trips throughout 2019. Some of the exciting trips we need chaperones for are: Disneyland, Sea World, Cruises, Dude Ranches, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Knott's Berry Farm, and many, many more!
NEW DIRECTIONS for people with disabilities, inc. (New Directions Travel) is looking for chaperones to support and assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) on escorted group vacations throughout the year. Experience with people with IDD preferred, but not required. New Directions Travel is based in Santa Barbara, but we need chaperones from all over California and neighboring states.
Requirements include having a respect for people with disabilities, a love for travel, professional appearance and pleasant disposition, good communication skills, accurate attention to detail, able to drive, good health with ability to lift 50 pounds, strong stamina, ability to work long days and still have a top-notch attitude.
Further requirements will include: CPR/First aid certification, and criminal (police fingerprint) clearance, reference and background checks.
Pay is a stipend of $65 per day with all travel expenses paid. Position is part-time and flexible. This is an on-call position and should not be a job you rely on for steady income.
