DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Development Assistant contributes to the vitality of Santa Barbara Education Foundation by helping to bring visibility to the organization, organizing and promoting events, and assisting with donor tracking and communications. Essential skills are database management, event management, strong writing skills, and a friendly but professional demeanor.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare mailing materials such as invitations, solicitations, and newsletters
Update website
Prepare press releases
Maintain database of donors
Assist with event coordination
Assist in the composing of fund raising letters with SBEF materials
Assist in the writing and designing of brochures, flyers and pamphlets for the foundation
Maintain social media campaign utilizing Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and blogging
Compensation
Ideally seeking 30 hours per week to work into fulltime position. Hourly compensation rate $16/hr.
