Transportation Reservationist Job Posting

Easy Lift is a Non-Profit organization that provides a wide-variety of specialized transportation related services for the South Santa Barbara community. The Call Center is Easy Lift's most vital point of contact as it serves as the hub for all of Easy Lift's day to day operations. The Call Center receives approximately 300 calls daily for transportation reservations along with calls from drivers in the field and community members requesting more information about our services. Our Call Center is currently looking for a weekday full-time reservationists to join our team. Our Call Centers operates Monday- Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm and Saturday-Sunday from 8am-4pm.

Typical Duties:

Answer passenger phone calls and inputs ride request using the computer.

Maintain radio contact with all Easy Lift drivers.

Notify drivers of any changes made schedules (add-on and/or cancellations.)

Communicate ride availability with passengers on the standby list.

Assist drivers by telephoning passengers and/or doctors when vehicle is waiting outside for a pick up.

Reconcile driver's schedules to make sure proper fares and pick up times are collected and input in the computer.

Print drivers consolidated schedule for next day.

Contact drivers at the end of each day to notify them of their shift start time for the following day.

Monitor and report to the Operations Manager all driver concerns and client complaints.

Miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.

Successful candidates must possess:

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

Good judgment under pressure.

The ability to convey emotions over the phone, especially compassion, while maintaining a cheerful, upbeat and professional demeanor in the office.

Basic geography knowledge of south Santa Barbara County.

Ability to problem solve and make on the spot decisions. Decisions will range from clerical to life and death decisions.

Candidate must be technologically savvy and have working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and be able to learn and work with new software.

Ability to multi task, prioritize and maintain a detail oriented approach to data.
