We are seeking a responsible and caring individual for the position of Employment Services Job Coach in Santa Barbara. We have a part-time positions available during Monday- Friday.
Position Summary:
The Job Coach (JC) is responsible for assisting men and women with disabilities to promote their independence in social and employment settings, and activities may include: providing job training, implementing skill/development activities, assisting individuals with accessing public transportation and community integration. As a member of the UCP WORK, Inc. Employment Services Team, the JC will learn the organization's philosophy on Person Centered Thinking services, and will be expected to put this to practice while supporting person's served.
The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to build positive relationships between persons served, vendor partners, and the community.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The candidate must possess a High School degree or equivalent, and preferably one year of work experience, working directly with developmentally disabled adults. A valid California Driver's License, proof of liability insurance and a reliable vehicle are required for this position. In addition, the individual must pass all applicable background checks and drug screen, and be able to lift in excess of 25 lbs. The individual must be compassionate and understand the importance of confidentiality. All employees are trained extensively so that they are prepared to provide the best possible services in a safe and nurturing environment.
This is an entry level position with a rate of pay of $12.25 per hour. We are proudly an Equal Opportunity Employer.
