The Position:

The Operations Project Associate performs a wide range of administrative functions for FSAs Santa Maria office, located at Santa Maria Valley Youth & Family Center (SMVYFC). This position includes support of the day-to-day operations at the SMVYFC office site, as well as other Agency-wide initiatives and projects. We are looking for someone who has a passion for learning and a desire to contribute to a vibrant nonprofit committed to serving the individuals and families of Santa Barbara County.

The Operations Project Associate works under the guidance and supervision of the Operations Supervisor. The position hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sample of Duties and Responsibilities:

On-Site:

Provide IT Orientation and Safety training for North County new hires

Serve as the SMVYFC building maintenance and facility liaison

Communicate and report identified risks, opportunities, and recommendations for organizational improvement

Provide front desk back up when needed

Agency-Wide:

Support Operations Supervisor with coordination with contractors

Serve as liaison with FSAs outside accounting firm

Assist with insurance matters as needed

Maintain and keep current IT Inventory spreadsheet

Employment Standards:

B.A./B.S. degree preferred. Associates and/or work experience strongly considered in lieu of Bachelors degree.

Two years office work and knowledge of IT and Facilities experience preferred.

Organized and detail oriented.

Excellent analytical, computer, written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.

Position requires professional attitude, good judgement, teamwork, leadership, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Valid California Driver License, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation required for travel as needed countywide.

Classification, Hours and Pay Rate:

This position is full-time, non-exempt, with benefits. (Benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 403(b) retirement plan. Generous holiday, vacation, and sick leave available.)

Pay is dependent on experience.
