We are currently seeking a highly skilled and well-rounded carpenter in both minor framing and finish work to fulfill a Carpenter position in our small projects, division for Santa Barbara/ Ventura area projects.

Position Overview:
Successful candidate will be a self-starter who is highly detail oriented with a strong work ethic and dedicated to a high quality of craftsmanship. Working closely with the Project Coordinators and Project Managers, on a variety of residential projects, incumbents in this position will be expected to fabricate, construct and repair structural and finish grade woodwork and wood products by following blueprints, drawings, and instructions with the use of carpentry tools and equipment. Candidates may also be required to assist in other skilled labor tasks as needed for the project.

RequirementsA high school diploma or GED
Three (3) years of experience in rough and finish carpentry at a residential construction company, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
Possess understanding of residential construction practices
Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with clients, colleagues and subcontractors/laborers to their understanding
Able to provide legible written and verbal communication
Knowledge of related tools, finish techniques, equipment and materials
Able to see details at close range (within a few feet)
Demonstrate experience and passion for client satisfaction
Good team attitude and flexible to do a variety of tasks with a sense of urgency
Must have reliable transportation that can transport tools and materials safely between job sites in the Santa Barbara and Ventura areas and a clean driving record
Tools - both rough and finish including ladders
DESIRABLE:
Five (5) years progressive construction carpentry experience in both rough and finish, preferably in upscale/luxury construction
Experience in other trades
Ability to communicate in Spanish
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand, sit, squat, turn, bend, operate telephone, see, speak, hear, write, work with tools, work in environmental conditions including but not limited to: extreme heat, rain and wind, and lift up to 50 pounds.
