MarBorg Industries in Santa Barbara is looking for a full-time dependable Fleet Mechanic. The right candidate is someone who can handle changes throughout the day, has a positive attitude, and work at an efficient pace while maintaining quality of work. In this position you will be carrying out engine diagnostics and repairs, hydraulic and electrical work on our fleet of garbage trucks and equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on all trucks and equipment.
Must be able to troubleshoot problems on engines.
Prepares records and writes narrative on parts usage, repair time and work accomplished utilizing fleet maintenance software program.
Must be able to demonstrate ability to follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies.
Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Performs related tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
This position requires working Tuesday - Saturday.
2+ years of experience in maintenance and repair of heavy truck/equipment.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
CDL preferred.
Basic computer skills.
