Note we are looking for someone from academics. This is really an R and D project and we need someone who can " invent" and " think" and "create" Our direct client has openings for a postdoc position in the Energy Solution Laboratory located in Silicon Valley. The laboratory focuses on research, technology innovation, proof-of-concept activities, technical marketing and business development for novel energy solutions, around IoT technologies, and establishing client as a leader in big data. Location: Santa Clara, CA. Remote till covid. Duration 6 to 12 Months+ contract We are seeking a postdoc researcher to work with Energy Solutions Team. The Data Analytics Researcher will work on developing innovative data analytics frameworks under the guidance of senior researchers, he/she will advance selective data analytics modules using state-of-art machine learning and artificial intelligence methods and create models of demand and renewable generations within the Energy IoT environment and benchmark performance against industry common practices. You will work in a team environment with significant interaction with Researchers.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other related degree; especially with a focus on analytics.
Previous research related to using AI/ML methods on energy data analysis is required.
Expert knowledge of distribution power flow analytics, nature of electrical loads is preferred.
Proficiency in Python is a must.
Hands-on experience with state-of-art ML libraries is required.
Familiar with popular database software, i.e. Postgres, etc. is preferred.
