Technical Program Manager Santa Clara, CA Full Time/ Direct Hire
Position Summary:
Act as a technical advisor for mobile device products including user interface, applications, and services to lead a group of key members to drive and manage change through the organization to improve performance
Analyze customer's wireless network technical roadmap and propose strategic planning
Create well defined working process to improve work of engineering that are crucial for enabling a flawless wireless ecosystem experience for consumers
Act as champion of the project by ensuring resolution of issues escalated by project manager or team members and raising awareness at senior level
Understand the current and upcoming techniques in wireless mobile phone and smartphone industry, and pre-filtering handset software / hardware functionality based on spec, verification on design during the development life cycle, and follow up on post-production issues with data analysis
Manages the operations of the certification or IOT programs and oversee the development of standards and testing materials
May interface with outside testing organizations. Assist / Lead external inter-operability and compliance test
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate interoperability testing events from development stage to certification stage including Domestic and Global field network.
Support to get carrier certification for all mobile products and technical end point to carrier for the field network issues.
Technical analysis on the technical HW/SW issues with R&D department and technical communication channel between carrier and R&D department for IOTs.
Communicate and collaborate with wireless mobile carrier including Lab support and internal R&D, Standards, Quality, Product Management, Sales, and Marketing.
Create the documents/ process for team to ensure all team's milestones and engineering activities are captured to ensure they are in line with the overall schedule of the projects.
Requirements:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in an Electrical / Computer Engineering related study
6 10 years of software engineering or hands on technical experience.
Minimum of 1 4 years of mobile product development industry experience
Able to drive and visit customers and other parties as required
Flexible, self-motivated individual who can work well in a small and dynamic team
Preferred Requirements:
Able to communicate in English and Korean is highly preferred
Experience in the field of mobile devices is preferred
