JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
The responsibility of VB & SQL Script Developer is to support the application Team in its implementation of a new ERP system and its maintenance and enhancements post implementation. The new ERP system provides a toolkit where VB Script is used to orchestrate low level operations in a flow supporting business processes. The toolkit makes use of calls to SQL to manage internal data or data external from the scope of the ERP schema. This position will be hands-on with the user to gather feedback & requirements… brainstorm ideas and put those idea to the test. Additional tasks will include supporting our reporting analyst with queries needed for reports and presentations. This will include getting hands on with reporting tools which use SQL as a basis for the information exposed to the user.

Minimum Educational and Experience Qualifications/Requirements:
  • VB Scripting Experience
  • Prior experience with Tier 1 or 2 ERP (MS Dynamics, Sage, etc.)
  • Above average SQL Experience (SQL, Views, Functions / Triggers / Stored procedures)
  • Windward (a plus)
  • JetReports (a plus)
  • Problem solving skills

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Develop VB Scripted operations which support business workflows
  • Use the provided software toolkit to configure screens (fields, buttons, etc.) to match user requirements
  • Create custom tables, stored procedures and reports using SQL/SQL Stored Procedures
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of reports using various reporting tools
  • Support the design of and implementation new features for the software suite
  • Participate in user meetings focused on requirements gathering and feedback on existing applications

Must have the ability to:

Continuously:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential functions consistent with Sunkist standards, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Sunkist standard, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to: talk, listen and speak effectively on telephone; read, write and understand written documents and policy; sit for sustained periods of time.

Frequently:
  • Ability to type or otherwise work primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm.
  • Must be able to spend extended periods viewing computer screen and/or operating a keyboard.
  • Ability to walk up and down flights of stairs to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Must be able to travel to different work sites and conferences domestically which would include driving and sitting in a car or flying in a plane for extended periods.

Occasionally:
  • Moderate Carrying – must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand; walk short distances; pull and/or push; grasp; reach; bend; stoop; kneel; crouch.
  • Must be able to travel/fly to different worksites and conferences domestically on occasion.
