Job Type : Full Time Location : Santa Fe Springs, California Pay : Great Pay + Benefits! Job Description The Art Director (Design) reports to the Creative Director. He/she will lead design (digital and print), coordinating with the Creative Director on concept ideation, seasonal mood-boarding and campaign creation. The Art Director will lead and manage the Graphic Design team and be responsible for creating weekly homepage updates, daily emails and all other digital assets required for the ecommerce and marketing teams. The art director should be able to generate beautiful, compelling, and commercially effective layouts working with photography, copy & type.
What you will be doing:
Leads the graphic design team
Collaborates and assists the Creative Director with creative strategy and design execution
Edits photo shoots and make selects & markups for retouching
Ideates & designs weekly homepage, emails and other digital assets, printed collateral, presentations, social media creative, etc.
Manages the intake of all creative requests from external departments:
Collaborates proactively with other teams as needed
Attends and participates in weekly analytic and content meetings
Photo, design, trend and general creative research
Works closely with e-com, marketing and social media teams
Collaborate with the Creative Director with decks and presentations as needed
Any other duties that fall under the creative team to support the brand
Collaborates with Photo Art Director to produce studio creative concepts
Experience you will need:
7+ years experience, preferably for a fashion brand, or fashion publication
Fluent knowledge of the full Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
Knowledge of basic computer skills including but not limited to Google Docs, Google sheets, Gmail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.
Experience designing layouts in Shopify and Wordpress a big plus
Experience retouching and supervising retouching a plus
Manages multiple priorities under deadlines, independently and within a team
Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting and speaking in front of a group
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
