Trust Automation, a fast growing company in San Luis Obispo which designs, builds and supports control and power management systems for the most demanding defense, semiconductor, industrial automation, green technology and medical applications is seeking an Accountant to join our team in San Luis Obispo, CA. We are looking for an analytical problem solver who can provide superior accounting support.

What’s Cool About This Job:

You will directly contribute to Trust Automation’s success by providing professional level, cross-functional accounting support that is analytical, evaluative, and advisory in nature for the company. The Accountant will work directly with the Controller to complete company-wide ERP system projects, monthly reporting to management and help to direct the monthly close process. This position has growth opportunity as Trust continues to grow!

Essential Job Functions:

General Accounting- month end and year end close, variance analysis, review of general ledger transactions, support yearend audit process, budgeting, back up accounting assistant position when unavailable.

Cost Accounting- assist in implementing a new module of our ERP system to help us track costs more completely, implementation of cost accounting for government contracts, help in developing companywide time tracking for projects.

Fun Projects- look at inventory trends, internal audit, supplement internal control processes, and cycle counting.

What You Need For This Position:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related area.

• Minimum of three years of varied professional experience in accounting.

• Good working knowledge of GAAP, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), experience using an ERP system.

• Excellent communicator, attention to detail, team player.

• Ability to prioritize and work independently to manage your own schedule and deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

• Experience working in manufacturing or government contracting desirable but not required.
