We are looking for a full time billing/customer service representative for a Durable Medical Equipment/Respiratory company located in Arroyo Grande. The individual must be friendly, motivated, able to multi task, flexible schedule, good written and verbal communication, positive attitude, and be a self-starter. Must have basic computer and internet skills, word document and be familiar with multiple phone lines. Durable medical equipment / billing experience preferred but not required. In this position, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Job Requirements:
Receiving and processing telephone and fax requests from referral sources and patients to provide durable medical and respiratory equipment.
Answering phones and waiting on walk-in customers in showroom in timely and courteous manner.
Obtaining all pertinent intake information to enter orders accurately and efficiently in computer system.
Providing instructions on use of equipment, including safety issues, insurance coverage, delivery schedules and company billing practices.
Assisting with ensuring that all orders, deliveries, service and pickups are handled accurately, timely and efficiently.
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED
Education, training, experience:
Successful candidates have the following skills and qualifications:
Proven Customer Service skills, detailed, excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking
Must have knowledge and understanding of insurance eligibility, benefits and authorization process.
Healthcare, medical, or DME experience preferred.
Handles stressful situations and meet deadlines.
