ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for care, health and welfare of pets that are groomed at THPR. We are looking for someone with experience in the following:
- Proper and safe grooming techniques of dogs
- Nail trimming
- Ear cleaning
- Bathing & Coat conditioning
- Drying
- Brushing
- Dematting
- Hair cutting
Responsible for care and maintenance of grooming facility and ensuring that it is of the highest standard for presentation to our customers and safety of their pets. Tasks include:
- Turnover and sanitization of grooming facility and equipment, including clippers, combs, brushes, crates, runs, water buckets, bowls, washing area, floor, and fans
- Laundering of grooming towels
Customer communication and knowledge of services provided
- Must be friendly and willing to listen to the requests and needs of the customer
- Give thorough feedback to the customer regarding the appointment when necessary
- Responsible for resolving complaints by listening to the problem and working with the client to find the appropriate solution
Staff communications
- Thinking proactively toward the betterment of oneself role as well as the THPR family and business
- Communicating concerns or suggested updates with management team
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Good communication and customer care skills; a passion for working with both people and pets
- Experience handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Ability to handle dogs firmly but gently
- Ability to calm and control nervous dogs
- Patience and attention to details
- Strong organization, task prioritization and time management skills
- General understanding of sanitization and maintenance
- Self motivated and able to work without supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Position will be hourly and requires an availability of 20 hours/week minimum. Requires availability during holidays due to increased appointments. Time off requests will be handled on a one-by-one basis and are required to be submitted 2 weeks in advance. This position requires employees to keep a resort-like appearance that is clean, professional, and within the uniform policies of the Resort. Attendance at the monthly all-call meeting is required
