Primary focus will be dispatching all drive jobs. This includes coordinating the driver and updating all corresponding paperwork and online portals as well as accurately maintaining the online dispatch dashboard. In order to comply with contracts this must be done with sensitivity to time and meet designated deadlines.
Additional responsibilities to include light warehouse duties not limited to:
Inbounding all deliveries accurately, updating and processing paperwork associated with delivery and putting part back into inventory.
Outbounding all parts requested accurately and in a timely manner so that they can be shipped accordingly.
Perform periodic inventory cycle counts
Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse and office space.
This is a unique opportunity with a local logistics company that will combine part time hours in our warehouse/office and additional After hours dispatching. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who enjoys working independently. Experience with computerized inventory system is helpful.
Warehouse/Office shift : 1-5 pm M-F
After hours: 5pm-8am M-Th
Note that the after hours are paid per dispatched job and does not require you to stay awake for the specified hours, however you must be a light sleeper. It is not required to remain in any one location, simply to have your phone available and able to answer incoming calls as needed. Cell phone and tablet will be provided.
