We are looking for an outgoing, professional, and reliable individual to join our team as a full-time Front Desk Agent at the beautiful Santa Ynez Inn, a AAA 4-Diamond property, located in Santa Ynez, Ca.
Full Time
$12.50+ per hour DOE
Must be available Holidays and Weekends
Must have great personality and eager to help others
Must be available for shifts: 7:00 am - 3:30pm and/or Evening Shifts 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Responsibilities & Duties include:
- Willingness and ability to assist guest
- Anticipation to assist and accommodate all guest needs and requests
- Register guests and assign rooms
- Make same-day and future reservations
- Accommodates special requests whenever possible
- Thoroughly understand and adheres to proper credit and cash handling policies and procedures
- Print and file confirmation letters and registration cards
- Inspect rooms and make minor repairs when needed
- Set up afternoon wine hour and evening desserts and coffee
- Assist with the clean up and resetting of the dining room during and after breakfast
- Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel
- Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department - check outs, late checkouts, early check-ins, and special requests
- File room keys
- Process guest check-outs
- Performing cashier related functions such as posting charges to guest accounts.
- Uses proper telephone etiquette
- Uses proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.
- Is aware of daily activities and meetings
- Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area and other common areas
A minimum of 1 year experience in hospitality and/or customer service desired.
Knowledge of Opera PMS desired.
