Commercial Truck Driving InstructorAllan Hancock CollegeDepartment: Community EducationCategory: Part-timePosted: 1/23/2019Closing Date:2/28/2019Position:Commercial Truck Driving InstructorAllan Hancock College is accepting applications for a part-time instructor to teach commerical truck driving courses in community education. The anticipated start date is March 2019. Instructors should be available to teach from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday - Thursday, and six (6) hours on Saturday (times to be determined).DUTIES:Prepare students to take the knowledge test required to obtain a California Commercial Driver's Learner's Permit. Prepare students to take the road test required to obtain a California Commercial Driver's License â Class A or B. ANTICIPATED NEED AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:California Class A Driver's LicenseTeaching experience preferredQualifications: Associate's Degree and four years of experience in the fieldORBachelor's Degree and two years of experience in the fieldOrthe equivalent per board policy 7211.SALARY:Lecture Rate: $42.13 to 54.65 per hour depending upon education and experience SCREENING PROCESS:A committee will screen all applications. Meeting minimum qualifications does not assure a candidate an interview. Therefore, it is important that the application be thorough and detailed. Applicants will be assessed on the breadth and depth of education, training, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities. A limited number of applicants will be invited for an interview at the college at their own expense. All interviewed candidates may be asked to complete job related exercises.
