Fast paced contract manufacturer is looking for a Buyer/Expeditor to join our team. We manufacture high precision components and assemblies for a wide variety of markets, including industrial instrumentation, aerospace and medical. The Buyer/Expeditor will perform duties in the following areas:

Purchasing

Procure materials, tooling, supplies and services to support manufacturing operations

Process requisitions, source and coordinate with vendors to obtain product quotes to include price, availability and delivery schedule

Confirm purchase order specification accuracy

Prepare and create purchase orders

Coordinate returns and refunds with vendors in case of quality issues

Communicate with suppliers regarding quality/delivery expectations and performance

Expediting

Track, monitor, and follow-up all material and service purchase orders

Communicate shortages and/or other issues with production and customer service

Ensure supply chain is meeting timing requirements to support manufacturing

Supply/Supplier Management

Develop efficient and effective stocking/replenishment programs

Assist with supply chain development/ASL expansion

Implement process improvements in purchasing and stock replenishment

Identify opportunities for supply chain improvement

Prepare reports and documents for management as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must:

Be comfortable and capable of communicating both verbally and in written form

Be highly computer literate and capable of consistent data entry accuracy

o Ability to use and develop Excel spreadsheets a plus

Be capable of

o managing time proficiently

o task prioritization / organization

o following and developing standard procedures (SOPS)

o analyzing specifications and purchasing requirements

o establishing working relationships with suppliers and team members

o working in a fast-paced environment

Have a strong work ethic and be capable of multi-tasking

Have excellent organizational skills

Have 2 to 4 Years Minimum Experience in Purchasing

o College degree preferred
