North American Fire Hose (NAFH), a world leader in the manufacture of lay-flat fire hoses, is seeking a Facilities Engineer to maintain our three (3) facilities located in Santa Maria, CA. As the premier provider of American-made fire hoses, this position will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is designed and maintained to allow for production of the highest quality products in the most efficient manner possible. As NAFH has been running much of its production equipment 24 hours a day, 5-6 days per week for the past 25 years, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement practices must be maximized in order to reduce any unscheduled downtime. The Facilities Engineer will also be responsible for making sure all equipment has been designed and is operated efficiently in order to the provide the safest working environment while also ensuring the most efficient production of fire hose possible.
Education, Training, Skills, and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Experience of industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment
Ability to properly communicate through both oral and written communication
Must keep detailed notes/revisions of projects
Ability to collaborate with many other teams
Ability to adapt to changes in the workplace
Strong problem-solving skills
Experience in using Microsoft Office
