High Desert Print Company is an established screen printing and design company that supplies the central coast and beyond for custom apparel in both wholesale and retail channels. We are driven by our creativity, we appreciate art and its function, and derive our passion from the purposeful art we create on press. Our embroidery and printing operations are located in New Cuyama.
We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented individual with an interest in long term growth to join our operations staff. We're seeking someone with prior screen printing and shop experience with the willingness to assist in every step of the production process.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Align and operate single and multiple color screens jobs on both manual and automatic screen printing machines.
Automatic press experience is a plus.
Experience in following production proofs, print instructions, and other print related tasks
Report to Production Manager
Work efficiently with other team staff members
Willingness to take on projects with short deadlines
Properly communicate job status, roles, and duties with manager and team members
Press maintenance when required
Maintain cleanliness of workspace and assist in shop cleaning
Willingness to wash equipment, clean screens, and reclaim process

Accountability
Computer proficient
Ability to learn computer programs such as our management and shipping systems
High attention to detail and quality
Ability to ask questions when advice or help is needed
Willingness and passion for skills growth and growth within company
Able to stand throughout the day
Ability to handle large boxes and items up to 30 pounds
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
If you do not have prior industry experience but believe you have the passion and work ethic to work proficiently in a high volume shop, we are willing to train on the job. It is important for us to develop a team that has a passion for the work they do and gladly support hard workers with minimal printing experience to join us.
We are currently seeking a part time position that can grow into full time within 30-60 days and/or depending on experience. Full time employment offers standard benefits of vacation, sick pay, and holidays.
