The Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse has the following employment opportunities:
Full time CASE MANAGER for Youth Restorative Services (YRS) Program
YRS is a diversion program for at-risk youth.
Case Managers work with youth & families to create and implement a Restorative Action Plan (including community service, education classes, mental health counseling, and/or substance abuse treatment) which takes the place of traditional consequences.
Case Managers lead educational groups & classes on a variety of topics including substance use/misuse, relationships, conflict resolution, nicotine/vaping, and groups.
Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish Highly Desirable
Bachelors degree (in related field) OR 1 year experience in a helping profession or related field
Registered or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor or equivalent preferred
Understanding of trauma-informed care
Background working with justice system-involved youth preferred
Ability to work with persons from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Skills:
Interpersonal/Counseling
Ability to communicate well with parents, youth, and community organizations
Case management and/or social work skills
Knowledge of alcohol/drug issues for youth
Data Management & Documentation
Job responsibilities include on-going engagement with youth/parents from referral to discharge, facilitation of client/parent orientations, intake, assessment, and treatment planning meetings with youth/parent, on-going case management and other direct services, collaboration/coordination with schools, law enforcement, Probation, and other referral sources, community outreach, facilitation of educational groups and classes.
There are 3 YRS Case Manager positions available located in each geographic region:

ï§ Lompoc
ï§ Santa Barbara
This is a full time (40 hrs/wk) position with benefits.
