We are seeking responsible and caring individuals for the position of Job Coach in Santa Maria. We have part-time positions available supporting Monday- Friday.

Position Summary:

The Job Coach (JC) is responsible for assisting adults with disabilities to promote their independence in social and employment settings. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Job Coach will support activities which may include: providing job training individually or within group settings, implementing skill/development activities, assisting individuals with accessing public transportation, community integration, and daily personal care as needed. As a member of the UCP WORK, Inc. Team, the JC will learn the organization's philosophy on Person Centered Thinking services, and will be expected to put this to practice while supporting person's served.

The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to build positive relationships between persons served, vendor/staff partners, and the community.

Qualifications/Requirements:

The candidate must possess a High School degree or equivalent, and preferably one year of work experience working directly with developmentally disabled adults. A valid California Driver's License, proof of liability insurance and a reliable vehicle are required for this position. In addition, the individual must pass all applicable background checks and drug screen, and be able to lift in excess of 25 lbs. The individual must be compassionate and understand the importance of confidentiality. All employees are trained extensively so that they are prepared to provide the best possible services in a safe and nurturing environment.

This is an entry level position with a rate of pay of $12.25 per hour. We are proudly an Equal Opportunity Employer.
