Collections Officer HQ relocating to Santa Maria soon
Under general supervision of the Collections Manager, a Collection Officer is responsible for performing a wide variety of member Collections duties.
Some of the responsibilities are;
Contacts member through various methods to determine reason for delinquency.
Negotiates and establishes repayment process or extension of credit with members.
Researches account loan transactions to resolve payment errors.
Uses method of skip tracing to locate either member or property.
Responds to members inquiries, request and assist in completing documents.
Evaluates credit lines for potential closure.
Researches account loan transactions to resolve payment errors.
Tracks collateral protection insurance ensuring member has complied with credit union requirements.
Some of the requirements of the job are;
Loan/Lending experience in a Financial Institution is preferred, but not required.
A high school diploma or its equivalent, with minimum 6 months experience in collections or a related area.
Experience with computer systems and software.
Punctual and regular attendance.
Ability to be bonded.
