Temporary Part Time Accounting Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized temporary Part-Time Accounting Assistant to support the financial operations of a local non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including the preparation and processing of invoices and receipts.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including reconciliations and journal entries.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.

Help with donor financial tracking and ensure accurate data is reflected in accounting systems.

Monitor and reconcile bank and credit card transactions on a regular basis.

Address and resolve accounting inquiries from staff and vendors.

Uphold compliance with internal financial policies and nonprofit accounting standards.

Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or equivalent coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).

Minimum 1+ years of experience in administrative support or accounting support role.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
