Lab Technician
Description
The Lab Technician will manage and implement the day to day testing of agriculture samples. This includes but not limited to receiving samples, logging them in correctly, performing the appropriate analysis and reporting to Management. The Lab Technician will also manage all activities within the lab under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager which includes compliance with applicable quality and safety standards to ensure continuous improvement of processes.
Responsibilities
Manage the day to day sample analysis load within the laboratory.
Assist in analyzing all soil, water, and tissue samples that are collected.
Assist in operating laboratory equipment for testing soils, water and tissues.
Responsible for maintaining data and data reporting of analytical reports.
Analyze retrieved data and prepare reports for laboratory management.
Responsible for managing and keeping laboratory running efficiently at all times.
Follow all Company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions and maintaining supplies.
Skills and Specifications
Demonstrated experience with common computer software packages (Windows, MS Office, etc.)
Flexible and proactive.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly detailed oriented.
Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure quality.
Self-sufficient under minimal supervision and preform tasks in a safe and compliant manner at all times.
Must possess problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
1-3 years of laboratory experience or related fields.
Clean CA Drive License
Clean background check
Experience in a fast-paced agricultural environment is preferred but not required.
