Etna interactive is seeking a new IT supervisor.Candidates must be located in the San Luis Obispo County area but may work on a hybrid remote basis. At its heart, the IT Supervisor is a customer service role to both internal and external customers.Equal parts technician, analyst, andinvestigator, you will seek out new system solutions to real world problems that departments have, manage and improve upon existing systems, and ensure the highest levels of uptime and compliance to staff and clients. All while mitigating overall compliance and licensing risks. We believe thatsuccessbegins and endswith our people; this role is about helping those people to maximize their potential with great computing systems and excellent integrations.
Subscription IT services are our second largest cost center (after our excellent people).The IT Supervisor seeks to elevate the entire organization's effectiveness and productivity through the selection, application, and maximization of software solutions.Additionally, this role operates as an escalation path for clients and as a mentor for the team's junior members.Primary responsibilitiesThis role covers a lot of ground and will likely have you spending as much time analyzing existing systems as talking with various departments about their needs. You will need to be comfortableasking questions, building requirement documents, and leading discovery sessions so you can understand what is ‘truly’ needed. Not just keeping the spend down but making sure that we make the most out of the systems we do buy.Working in the medical world, HIPPA is a big deal to us. The IT Supervisor is responsible for not just making our systems secure but also for helping to train our people to be smart about their information security.Ultimately,we want you to help us and our clients stay incompliancewith all the PII, PHI, and private business information at ourfingertips.Keep the trains runningon time! The IT Supervisor is responsible for the continuousmeasurement, monitoring, and uptimeof various internal and external systems.
In worst cases be ready to handle communication, triage, root cause analysis, and after-action reporting when things go wrong.Help grow team members and staff members on other teams in their usage of and knowledge of key systems we use at Etna.
