We are a small manufacturing company, expanding our own Real Estate portfolio. Our team is looking for a journeyman 'Construction Lead' to do all sorts of trades - everything necessary to remodel /renovate a building and get it ready to rent or sell.
The right candidate must be self motivated to do a high quality job, meet tight deadlines, schedule their own work flow and that of other employees or subs - and take pride in being efficient and effective.
The right candidate will be skilled in building maintenance and construction, as our projects will involve multiple trades, skills and experience. This job will entail construction, repairs, renovation, and installation of structures such as floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, cabinets, shelves, roofs, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, etc.
Thus, this position requires a good knowledge of a wide variety of trades, i.e., electric, plumbing, framing, finish carpentry, cabinets, cement, doors, windows, general repairs, painting, etc. Must be able to read plans and work orders as well as follow directions.
The successful candidate will have years of experience safely and expertly operating all sorts of hand and shop tools such as power saws, drills, sanders, painters, etc. (we also have a full wood and metal shop, including multiple CNC machines).
Must have a clean DMV record, be insurable, and have reliable vehicle to get to various job sites.
We're looking for the ideal team player, who likes working on varied projects.
Beside remodelling/renovating houses, we also work on various inventions that require building trades - so if you like the idea of projects such as building tiny-homes, airplanes, velomobiles (and meet the above qualifications) then this could be the job for you!
