Job Title: Commercial Class A Truck Driver
Department: Shipping
Reports To: Shipping Manager
Summary The Commercial Class A Truck Driver delivers company's product to customers using a company delivery truck and trailer. Occasionally, equipment/supplies may need to be hauled from one location to another location. All drivers are to obey the rules and regulations of the highways for the states where trucks are operating. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. The Shipping Manager may assign other duties to be completed by the Commercial Truck Driver.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
⢠Inspect and maintain in good working order all truck and trailers used for this purpose.
⢠Safe Operation of company delivery truck and trailers
⢠Maintain equipment for securing loads in good working order and condition.
⢠Maintain log books accurately and turn information in on time.
⢠Check and verify with Supervisor that GPS is functioning properly
⢠Comply with all DOT requirements - Federal, State, and County regulations.
⢠Notify Manager of any changes while in delivery process
⢠Attend safety training sessions and meetings when necessary
⢠Wear appropriate PPE according to Standard Operating Procedures and job requirements
⢠Ensure all work performed in accordance with safety policies and regulations to promote safety.
⢠Perform various other duties as required which may include assisting other departments
