We are looking for an experienced Backend Services Software Engineer who can partner with product owners, project managers, developers and UI/UX designers, across the organization to deliver the best end-to-end customer experiences, develop in-house automation & tooling to support operations, suggesting smart resolutions, and innovate the tools Disney Streaming uses to manage massively scaled streaming operations world-wide.

Basic Qualifications:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience
•BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience required.
•Customer-facing experience required.
•REST web API experience required
•Experience with AWS cloud technology required - SNS/SQS/Kinesis/ECS/Lambda
•Experience with Event driven systems architectures (reactive design)
•Experience with containerized & serverless applications
• Experience working to support high-performance web-based user interfaces
•Experience building services using REST, GraphQL, WebSockets
•Practical knowledge and relevant experience deploying services in a containerized cloud infrastructure
•Experience writing unit tests / implementing test driven development processes
•Experience with languages: Scala (primary), Java, JavaScript, Python
•Experience with storage & cache technologies: DynamoDB, RDBMS, NoSQL, S3, Redis

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $117,752 to $157,960 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
