We are seeking an IT Desktop Engineer who is responsible for the continuous management of all endpoints with our infrastructure.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Architect, implement and maintain SY Health's desktop infrastructure environment including image creation, installation, upgrades, high-level troubleshooting, patching, and software deployment
Implement and maintain other IT Infrastructure endpoint devices including but not limited to printers, phones (desk and mobile), Kiosks, tablets, tablets, mobile devices, audiovisual equipment
Develop and document architectural design for endpoint hardware as well as operating systems configurations and management capabilities
Utilize enterprise tools to maintain an accurate inventory of endpoint hardware and client software at all times
Utilize enterprise tools to automate and track the deployment of applications and desktop configurations without impacting production operations
Ensure an updated Windows image is used to include the latest critical and security updates, alignment with hardware and consistent with production desktop software requirements
Perform secure baseline image creation and tailoring of Windows operating system images for specific hardware configurations from a common core baseline
Conduct an impact assessment of software and hardware deployments using vendor readiness tools. To include Microsoft's Readiness and Compatibility Assessment toolkits
Support application packaging, deployments, documentation, and release control in an Enterprise environment
Create documentation, installation procedures, checklists, job aids troubleshooting tips, and topology diagrams
Develop Windows Base Images, tailoring the operating system and GPO settings so that they integrate with all enterprise hardware and software to meet SY Health's customer requirements
Resolves assigned service requests in an effective and timely manner; ensures users know the current status of their individual problems, by providing updated communications to include estimated timelines of the resolution, escalation, and other pertinent information
Effectively diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues and requests
Capturing and documenting the details of an issue and troubleshooting steps taken in order to escalate the issue or document the identification and resolution; using a ticketing system to track and route problems and requests and document solutions
Collaborate with the GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) Team to manage risk and ensure systems are compliant with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
Collaborate with other IT Teams (i.e. IT Service Desk, Engineering, Applications, Data Analytics, Project Management) to resolve and complete incidents and service requests
Work with teammates to research and document problem resolutions
Work independently to research and resolve technical issues
Work with teammates in researching and writing technical documentation
Job Requirements:
5+ years of experience in desktop engineering specializing in Windows desktop, and Microsoft technologies
5+ years providing IT support in a multi-facility environment
5+ years of experience with OS imaging, maintenance, and deployment using enterprise tools
Extensive knowledge of deployment tools such as Mange Engine Desktop Central, Microsoft System Center suite of products (SCCM)
Extensive knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
Strong understanding of ITIL best practices
3+ years in a regulated environment
Required Certifications and Education: Microsoft Certifications - MCSR, MCSA

Bachelor's Degree in a related field
