DescriptionAccountemps has an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper / Accountant with Real Estate and Property Management experience. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The essential functions of this role will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, some A/R, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Execute additional tasks as needed
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Help with internal and external audits as required
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Manage the GL and all daily accounting functions
Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
5+ years of experience in an Accounting
Commercial real estate experience preferred
Account reconciliation experience
Yardi experience
Foundational knowledge in Code Invoices
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
