employees. Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering
Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for performing a wide
variety of coordinating, implementing, collaborating and software
maintenance tasks, including but not limited to working with other
department engineers to develop and maintain calibration procedures, ISO
17025 and DTS internal standard calibration alignment, implementing
existing improvements on calibration testing and supporting in-house and
remote calibration team. This job description is not designed to cover

  • Responsible for working with design engineers to develop, design,
    document, and implement Production in-process tests, acceptance
    test, and calibration procedures

  • Work with design engineers and other subject matter experts to
    develop and publish measurement uncertainties consistent with ISO 17025

  • Develop and maintain calibration limits and tolerances that are
    used by in-house and remote calibration technicians

  • Align all calibration activities with ISO 17025 and work closely
    with the designated ISO 17025 Quality Manager to ensure that all
    calibration activities are performed according to ISO 17025 and DTS
    internal standards

  • Manage and distribute processes and procedures for remote
    calibration technicians

  • Help maintain the ISO 17025 QMS and facilitate all proficiency
    testing and interlaboratory comparison to comply with ISO 17025

  • Work with the Quality, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering
    teams to implement improvements to existing product test and
    calibration procedures

  • Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) processes by
    reviewing and developing work instructions, test procedures, data
    collection forms, etc.

  • Provide input and requirements to those responsible for test and
    calibration software

  • Validate test and calibration software before distributing to test
    and calibration users

  • Initiate ECOs for updated calibration software and related changes

  • Coordinate and support tools and equipment used by in-house and
    remote calibration technicians

  • Assist the design engineers with accuracy and repeatability design
    validation as needed

  • Identify new technologies and approaches to improve DTS?s test activities

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in a technical position required

  • Technical Bachelor?s degree required

  • Must possess strong computer skills: Windows 7/8/10, Microsoft

  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time, meet
    deadlines, and coordinate with other departments
  • Strong analytical, reasoning, inter-personal communication,
    problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to work with others in a professional and diplomatic manner

  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 required

  • Experience with digital multi-meters and other electronics test
    equipment required.

  • Experience with high speed data acquisition a plus.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Equipment Use This position
works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health
concerns may demand constant attention. The work environment is a
production and engineering area and typical business office. The
employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and have the ability
to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Work Schedule Work hours will be
determined based on business and customer needs but are predominantly
scheduled Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and at times could
include overtime if necessary. ITAR Statement This position must
