Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is seeking a Procurement Agent (Level 3) in Seal Beach, CA for Boeing Global Services - Government (BGS-G) supporting C-17 and Vertical Lift platform spares requirements. Supports sourcing strategies, price and contract negotiation and documenting of purchase contracts and agreements. Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements. Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements. Manages supplier/subcontractor performance and relationships to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and overall performance. Mitigates risks and issues. Initiates supplier improvement activities and provides results for integration into contracting strategies.This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.Position Responsibilities:Prepares and executes proprietary information agreements.
Supports sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.
Partnering w/ Program and Engineering teammates to provide the best sourcing solution for programs.
Performs continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
Communicates performance expectations and metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
The candidate must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills. Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asyleeBasic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):Experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes
Experience negotiating pricing and contract terms and conditions.
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
Experience in a role requiring strategic planning (project/program management).
4+ years’ experience with Supplier Management or Procurement practices and processes.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
Experience interacting with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment is highly desired
Experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements and an applied understanding of Lean practices
Ability to be self-directed in work and/or previous experience in a self-directed role
Communication skills and customer focus are critical to be successful in the role
Typical Education/ExperienceEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
