Summary DTS sustains a culture of hard-working and highly-motivated
employees. Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the
Logistics and Materials Coordinator is responsible for performing a wide
variety of tasks, including but not limited to preparing domestic and
international shipments, and performing various inventory activities.

Duties include but are not limited to:


  • Prepare shipments according to daily schedule, ensuring proper
    packaging and timely delivery of product to customer sites.


  • Perform domestic and international shipping related functions
    which includes audit, packaging, all document transactions from ERP
    and the carrier documentation.


  • Create and send internal and external communication including
    shipping alerts, pro-forma shipping documents, and other related
    shipping documentation.


  • Communicate with customer and work with internal departments to
    resolve shipping and inventory related issues.


  • Organize and maintain location of inventory and related documentation.


  • Stock, label, and organize incoming materials in stock room.


  • Supports inventory management activities and performs on-hand
    physical inventory counts as required.


  • Kitting of materials from stock for production using Bill of
    Material (BOM) and related build documents.


  • Monitor and issue shortages to kits.


  • Receiving and closing production jobs to inventory.


  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications and Skills: To perform this job

  • High school diploma or general education development (GED)
    certificate and previous (approximately 5 years) experience in
    domestic and international shipping in an electronics manufacturing
    environment, or equivalent combination of skills and experience is necessary.


  • Previous experience handling and shipping electronic components is necessary.


  • General knowledge of export rules and regulations is necessary.


  • Parcel and freight shipping experience, as well as, warehouse or
    stock room experience is preferred.


  • Knowledge of FedEx, DHL, and UPS software programs for domestic
    and international shipments is preferred.


  • General knowledge of export rules and regulations is necessary.


  • Must be detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects, meet
    deadlines, and work with other departments


  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately address and document
    details, meet deadlines, and communicate/work effectively with other
    departments in a professional, diplomatic manner is necessary.


  • Demonstrated proficiency using various computer programs, such as,
    Windows 7/8/10, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and
    Microsoft Project is necessary.


  • Experience using Syspro ERP and Starship shipping software is a plus.


  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both
    verbally and written format to all levels of the organization, as
    well as, customers and vendors is necessary.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Equipment Use This position
works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health
concerns may demand constant attention. The work environment is a
production and engineering area and typical business office. The
employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and have the ability
to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Occasional US and/or international
travel to customer, vendor, corporate, and/or other sites may be
necessary based on business or customer needs. Work Schedule Work
hours will be determined based on business and customer needs but are
predominantly scheduled Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. ITAR
