DescriptionThis open Bookkeeper position from Accountemps is designed for a determined and team-oriented individual. If you have experience with A/P, A/R, General ledger, and financial reporting, then this may be the right Bookkeeper role for you. Located in the Selma, California area, this Bookkeeper position is a long-term temporary opportunity that you do not want to miss.ResponsibilitiesPut together financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Maintain quality historical records by filing documents
Oversee and maintain a well-run system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures
Preside over and review general ledger
Review payments received and record deposits
Reconcile accounts by rectifying entries
Requirements5+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper
BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
Construction industry experience preferred
Prior experience working with collections/accounting software
General familiarity with Yardi Software
Foundational knowledge in Monthly Financial Statements
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office Application
Practical knowledge of Yardi Software
Well-founded grasp of Property Management
Strong familiarity with financial statement preparation
Command of Financial Statement
QuickBooks experience highly desired
Bookkeeping experience
