Starland School Of Music in Alameda has been offering quality music lessons for over 30 years to folks of all ages. We are also a retail facility that sells musical instruments and accessories to the general public and our students.
As Assistant Enrollment Coordinator, your role will be to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere while helping customers find the right music products. You'll work with the School Director and Enrollment Coordinator to enroll new students. Your role also includes helping with retail store sales, displays, and inventory management.
While we don't have strict qualifications, the ideal candidate will likely have:
- Customer service experience, preferably in retail or a school.
- A positive attitude and is self-motivated.
- Some college education.
- Proficiency with computers and POS software.
- Enjoyment of learning and openness to feedback and development.
- A passion for music, considering it fundamental and essential. Playing an instrument or wanting to learn is a plus.

Details:
This is a part time position (15-18 hrs/wk). The schedule will include some weekday evenings, and likely some Saturday early-day shifts. We offer competitive pay ($20 - $22/ hour depending on experience), an outstanding discount policy on instruments and lessons and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
You should know we have our training sessions each Wednesday morning at 11 AM. While 100% attendance is highly recommended, it is mandatory to attend 80% (8 out of 10).
