Little Urbanites Preschool is in search of a Lead Teacher in our 2's & young 3's Classroom.
The position is available to start immediately.
Little Urbanites Teachers:
-Love working with children!
-Find teachable moments in everyday activities
-Understand and enjoy play-based learning (creating and add to the environment to support learning)
-Are passionate about creating engaging curriculum and innovative art/sensory exploration
-Have strong communication skills, and enjoy working with a small team
-Bring their own set of interests to enrich our program: Music, Dance, Gardening, Cooking, Construction, Chemistry etc.
Prefer a teacher with a degree in Child Development or equivalent and 2+ years experience but willing to work with the right person while they complete their education.
We are a small school with just 26 students per day, 8:30-5:30. Each teacher has a primary care group of 8-12 children.
Our staff consists of three Lead Teachers, an Assistant Teacher and a Director.

This is a full time position (40hrs)
We offer competitive pay $20-$24/hr , 5+ weeks of paid holidays, Health Stipend and a matched retirement fund.
Each Lead Teacher has 4 hour of paid planning per week(outside of the classroom). As the owner, I strongly believe that happy teachers create a wonderful school, it is our priority to provide a supportive, creative work environment.
