Established, licensed infant/toddler daycare center is seeking a part-time teacher/aide to care for our 2 to 15 months age group.

Ability to create fun and interactive learning experiences while caring for young infants/toddlers.
Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all center standards.
Communicate directly with parents and prospective parents to achieve success for the child.
Maintain a fun and interactive environment that is clean and organized.
Highly skilled in teaching infants and toddlers.
Able to interact with parents, children and co-workers in a professional and nurturing manner
Able to perform job independently and work well in a team setting.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative while adhering to employer's policies and procedures.
Are rewarded with hugs from the children and watching their developmental milestones on a daily basis.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of 6 ECE Child Development units (with at least 3 units being related to the care of infants or proof of Spring, Summer or Fall 2019 enrollment).
High School Diploma or GED .
Minimum of 1 year experience working with children from birth to 3 years.
Ability to communicate with parents and staff in the English language through verbal, reading and writing skills.
Fingerprint clearance through Department of Justice for Child Abuse Index Check/Criminal Record Statement (paperwork can be given during hiring process).
Pre-certified to be a mandated reporter.
Health Exam within past 12 months, TB test clearance and current flu shot.
CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (training available if needed).
Ability to sit/bend/stoop and lift/carry children up to 40 lbs.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Grace Infant Care Center (GICC), located in the Sunset/Parkside district cares for infants/toddlers from age 2 months to 30 months. We are a non-profit, state-licensed center, established in 1983, serving S.F. and Bay Area families, staffed by the founding Director and 7 established, educated and loving caregivers, who are also first-aid and CPR trained.
GICC provides care for 15 children and is based on a full-time tuition, with flexibility of days/hours needed. Our available care hours are Mon.-Fri. 7AM-6PM. We are located in a church facility, but are a non-denominational daycare. Our clean facility space provides safe indoor and outdoor play, art/ music/ reading areas as well as separate napping and eating areas. GICC provides infants and toddlers the freedom to explore and interact with others in their similar age group through one-to-one play, small group activities, and also have time for individual, uninterrupted play. We support the needs which are specific to young infants/toddlers and work closely with our families to evaluate those needs on a regular basis.
