We are the premier custom glass company on the SF Peninsula, specializing in Custom Built frameless shower enclosures, glass railings, wine rooms, mirrors, and other architectural glass products. We are striving for the highest quality work and customer service, and are currently looking to add a full-time assistant estimator/project manager to our amazing team. This is a junior-level position to assist our estimators and office with all our glazing projects.
The ideal candidate is a quick learner, great at technical data entry, with great attention to detail, and whose main focus will be to help our estimators and office provide quotes for our clients. This person must be able to work well within our team. There is an initial probation period that may be waived by us based on job knowledge and the position has growth potential.
Skills required:
Reliable
Strong technical and computer skills
Windows Office, Adobe, Design Software and CAD experience a big plus
GREAT attitude
general construction or design experience, glazing experience would be a plus.
project management/project coordinator experience would be a plus
Technical/ design schooling and/or experience would be a plus
Able to read a tape measure & calculate dimension easily & correctly
Mechanically inclined
Able to problem solve and complete tasks of various levels of difficulty
Detail-oriented & proud of the work performed
Works well as part of a team, as well as independently with little supervision
Clean DMV Report & Clean appearance
Overtime may be required
Duties included:
review shop drawings
enter design measurements into the computer
assist with takeoffs of glazing materials, and put together estimates under the direction of the lead estimator
learn and assist with purchasing
learn and assist in submitting closeout documents
learn and assist with material takeoffs
maintain various logs of submittals, RFI's, and change orders
This position is full-time.
Compensation depending on experience.
