About Us //
Walks (TakeWalks.com // WalkOnWalkOff.com) is a leader in the tours and activities industry, offering unique travel experiences in Italy, Barcelona and Madrid, Athens, Paris, London, New York City, New Orleans, and San Francisco. We are an innovative, ambitious, travel-loving team working within an environment that allows you to be a part of the larger picture and encourages your development through multiple initiatives.
Walks is looking to add to our team of outstanding storyteller guides for our 2019 season (and beyond). We work with those interested of all skill level.
Self-starters, researchers and the curious will excel at this position! Pay is based by tour from 1 hr to 8 hrs - pay $25-35 an hour depending on tour and all guides are on a contract basis.
About You //
Do you often keep others at the edge of their seats listening to your vibrant storytelling? Do you consider yourself engaged and interested in the world? Do you have a welcoming personality and a strong enthusiasm for the city of San Francisco, Sonoma and Napa County, Victorian Architecture, food, wine, culture, art, nature or architecture?
We are seeking local residents, of all backgrounds, of all guiding experience, who embody the warm and progressive spirit of the city. We believe a city is just as much about you as it is about the sites you are presenting. We want to bring San Francisco to life for our guests and convince them that the only way to visit a city is with us, by foot.
Training with Walks //
We provide a flexible schedule, with full training (online modules, created by our Co-Founder, and in-person with our exceptional staff).
We invest in our guides - we want to employ the best of the best and that means continuing and supporting your guide education. It is not uncommon for us to spend a day in wine country asking our guides their opinions, funding site visits or wandering a closed-off area of a site together.
We expect a lot, but we give a lot in return.
