Work at a beautiful, upscale Independent Retirement Community in Napa!We currently have an opening for an Activities Assistant - Assisted Living/Memory Care (Full-time)Temporary: 3 monthsDay ShiftAssists the Activity Program Leader in administering all recreational programs in Assisted Living and Memory Support. Supports volunteers, assists in program planning, conducts fitness programs, leads activities, and ensures accurate charting of activities for State compliance.Conducts activities in Assisted Living Villa?s and Terraces. Participates, conducts and coordinates in-room programs with A.L. residents.Complies with safety standards. Assures maximum participation at all programs by conducting exercise classes that will motivate residents.Aids in creating individual fitness programs for residents and staff.Participates in accurate charting of Special Care Center and Assisted Living Facility resident activities to meet State compliance.Thorough knowledge of nursing care activities and a good knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist residents in their programs, usually the result of higher education or 2 ? 3 years of experience in the field. Knowledge of fitness room equipment and exercise machines and the proper use thereof to successfully and safely assist residents. Must be familiar with all state policies and regulations regarding Special Care Center and Assisted Living Facility operations.
