Personal Assistant/Caregiver (Santa Rosa)
Job Summary:
Assisting a man with Cerebral Palsy at his home. Providing assistance in independent living. Position is located in Santa Rosa.
Job Duties:
-Personal care (including: toileting and help getting out of bed)
-Cooking and assistance with eating
-Communication assistance (verbal interpretation)
-Light housekeeping
-Transportation (driving his van)
-Pet care (cat)
Desirable Qualities:
-Dependable, Trustworthy
-A good sense of humor
-Patience
-Experience or knowledge of independent living for people with disabilities
Required:
-Good DMV record
-Must be able to pass fingerprints
-Strong back (some pivotal transferring)
Available shifts
- Saturday 12:30pm-6pm
-Thursday, and Friday 7:00am - 10:00am
Opportunity for fill-in shifts available throughout the week, as needed
Shifts are paid through Becoming Independent and In-Home Support Services.
Compensation is about $80 for the Saturday shift, and weekdays (the morning shifts) are 95per shift.
