Hello,
My name is Jen Garrido. I am a fine artist/painter and the owner and designer of a small home textile line called Jenny Pennywood. I'm looking to hire a part-time studio and production assistant.
1-2 days a week to start with the potential for more hours.
I am looking for a person who I have good chemistry with :) We will be working closely to keep all things in order and help my growing business. Ideal candidate is a self-starter, self-directed, independent, organized, thoughtful and a get stuff done/hustler type person. The environment is highly creative but this is not a creative position.
A little about me I am a non-linear thinking artist and a small business owner I have lots going on and I am looking for that unicorn who is ready to step into my orbit grow and with me. Someone with personal assistant experience who is a good multitasker and not too sensitive is the vibe I'm looking for. Big part of this position are errands, managing logistics, production support (my screen printer and sewing room is around the block from my studio), someone who is strong and excited about doing physical tasks, and also working closely with all of my production people. Must have car and willing to use for errands (big car preferred that could hold bolts of fabric and lots of boxes) - I reimburse miles.
The hours and days are flexible (but I do like to set days to ensure orders are shipped twice a week) and there is always a ton of work to do. I am saying 1-2 days a week but when there are projects or big production runs in the works there is more work to do. Nights, weekends and on call is a must. I am looking for a trustworthy person I can count on if I am not able to be there. I am also looking for someone to start and complete tasks as lingering projects are what I am looking to move away from. I am about to launch my first wearables capsule collection and if that all goes well, the position will grow into so much more.
$18 an hour to start with an option for a raise quickly for the perfect person.

◦ Actual Goods Inventory Management
◦ Prepping goods and managing products - aka assembly of products, etc
Artwork Management - art handling experience a plus
◦ Packing
◦ Prep for distribution
◦ Cataloging artwork
Ideal Candidate will be competent in Photoshop, Illustrator, Google Docs and Shopify as those programs I use.
