We will train you to...
ââOrganize work by reviewing orders, scheduling work, and checking & gathering supplies
ââMaintain inventory
Maintain equipment; keep it clean and perform scheduled maintenance
ââPerform minor repairs (e.g. unclog nozzles, etc.)
ââMaintain tools
ââPerform general shop duties (assembling shelves, sweeping floors, carrying items, stocking inventory, etc.)
ââMaintain a safe environment by keeping a clean workspace/shop and following ALL safety procedures.
Review samples and slicing instructions to best understand final product
ââPlan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
ââCompare printer output to models for accuracy; ensure consistency with specs and record/discard defects
ââSelect appropriate machines and/or load correct material for a job
âMonitor machines while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperatures and identify issues
ââKeep accurate records of material use and product yield
ââPrepare parts for finishing (paint)
ââAssemble parts into working units
ââReview final output to ensure specifications are met
ââPrepare product for shipment
ââRequirements
ââAttention to detail
ââAbility to use precision tools (e.g. calipers) to take accurate measurements ââAbility to use hand-tools (screwdrivers, pliers, sockets & wrenches, etc.) ââ
Knowledge of the properties of plastics
ââAbility to work with models in CAD programs and Slicing software
ââGood at maths with analytical abilities
ââPhysical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
ââHigh school diploma or equivalent; a college degree will be an asset
