Seeking a part-time Level 1 MSP Desktop Support Field Technician. The hours will range from 15-25 hours per week. The geographical area covered will range from San Francisco to San Mateo.
We are a rapidly growing Managed IT Services Provider located in downtown San Francisco.
We provide IT support to businesses of 20 to 300 users and service a wide range of companies including tech, professional services, financial services, and others.
We are hiring for the position of part-time Level 1 MSP Desktop Support Field Technician to support our customers San Francisco Bay Area. The geographical range will be from San Francisco to San Jose and occasional East Bay travel.
This part-time Level 1 desktop support technician position requires that you have a SOLID understanding of Macs and PCs and experience in network troubleshooting. You should also have a great customer service presence and a can-do attitude.
Ideally you have 2+ years of experience in an IT support-related position and have the following skills:
Experience as a Level 1 desktop support technician
Familiarity with Mac OSX and Windows 10 issues
Familiarity troubleshooting VOIP phones and network attached devices
Experience configuring mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, Android, etc.
Experience rebuilding/re-imaging computers and transferring/saving user profiles and data
Experience troubleshooting AV and conference room equipment
Intermediate networking skills and being able to troubleshoot network connectivity problems
Other requirements:
Car - this is a field tech position and will require you to visit clients in the San Francisco Bay Area
Dependability, promptness, and clear written communication
Business casual attire
Availability during weekday business hours from 9AM to 5PM
A passion for technology and customer service
You must have availability between 9AM and 5PM, 5 days a week though flex-time is available.
You will be paid by the hour for work onsite, work you perform remotely, and the time you spend driving.
