Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Communication, the Senior Manager of Marketing Operations, will improve upon our current project management processes and procedures. Responsibilities include: creating scalable standards, improving best practices for cross-departmental collaborations, and helping others with long-range planning. Other responsibilities include project planning, process analysis, and resource management; as well as gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, and initiating and managing effective marketing and communication strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

● Partner with the VP of Marketing and Communications and other Audience Development leaders to set, manage, and execute our audience development workflows.

● Identify, plan, and execute effective, “right-size” workflows and tools to improve quality, speed or financial accountability.

● Manage and balance the department budget and drive fiduciary responsibility across units.

● Build end-to-end infrastructure that equips senior management with clear and actionable data; and work with the Director of Research to ensure all programs have a measurable return on investment (ROI).

● Oversee annual planning and budget cycle in alignment with senior management’s goals, ensuring optimal role assignments and effective communication protocols are established.

● Coordinate execution of ITVS-driven grants within the public media system, managing letters of agreement, contracts, reporting, and billing.

● Manage database integrity and ensure its optimization; develop strategy for monitoring and partnering with the Business department and Programming and Production department to ensure gaps in data do not exist and the automation of marketing data delivers accurate results.

● Perform quarterly reviews to ensure department and unit resources are being allocated effectively.

● Plan and support department communications, including executive presentations for staff and stakeholders outside of ITVS.

● Drive alignment between the marketing team and engagement team especially as it related to the metrics they share, and when needed ensure operational support is provided for the Creative Services team.

● Develop and deliver digital upgrades across platforms and proprietary tools on an annual and as needed basis.

● Represent and champion the Audience Development department as it pertains to institutional audits to ensure needs are addressed and met; and across the organization, particularly with IT and Senior Management.

● Other duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.

REQUIREMENTS

1. 5-7 years of professional experience in project management and communications in one of the following areas: broadcast or cable network, public media, entertainment, marketing, advertising agency, or brand management

2. Experience working with systems and employing best practices to achieve useful and valuable integrations between IT and Marketing/Communications goals.

3. Experience with database/CRM tools, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite.

4. Preferred: Basic understanding of Workfront, Asana, Slack, Google Suite, Dropbox, Vimeo, Netsuite, Filmmaker, FilmTrack.

A successful candidate will provide excellent planning, process analysis, and resource management by gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and operationalizing effective marketing and communication strategies.
